With 1.1 we will introduce fully customizable PDF export. The options range from the simple definition of a base font, to rather complex relational settings, such as “the first line of a paragraph after an unordered list” or “everything marked ‘strong’, except for code blocks” and so on.

As discussed earlier, we decided against a GUI and went for what we call Ulysses Style Sheets – simple text files, similar to CSS, that can be modified in any code-savvy editor.

The results are great, if we dare say so. And the combination of our built-in PDF previewer, with auto-refresh and tracking of style changes, allows for live editing of your layouts.

More in the coming days, with code snippets and example downloads to boot.
